The CEO of Electronics Support Fund for Research & Development was appointed.

With the approval of the General Assembly and the Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Ali Vahdat was appointed as the Chairman and CEO of the Electronics Support Fund for Research & Development.

By the report of ESFRD Public Relations, according to the decree, Ali Vahdat replaced Ali Mokhtari as the CEO of ESFRD. The ESFRD is a governmental company affiliated to the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, which activities cover venture capital and expert services, issuance of the guarantee and financial and credit support for the research and development of electronic industry in private and cooperative sectors.

The General Assembly of the Fund consists of the Ministers of Industry, Mine and Trade (President of the General Assembly), ICT, Economic Affairs and Assets, Science, Research and Technology, Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, Energy and the President of the Management and Planning Organization. The Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade is also the President of the General Assembly. The decree by Ne'matzadeh for Vahdat states that:

According to Article 13 of the ESFRD Statute and the minutes of the Extraordinary General Assembly dated January 25, 2015, and with regard to your commitment and experiences, under the decree, you are appointed as the Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Fund to do your efforts for achieving the fund goals.

According to the report, in similar decrees, Afsaneh Monsef and Afsaneh Kefayati were also appointed respectively as an executive member of the board and as a new and non-executive member of the board. Accordingly, Mohsen Atabaki, Director of Policy and Planning Office, Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, and Ali Asghar Ramzi, Head of Iran's Center for Planning and Control on Tobacco, are other members of the board of directors of the Fund.
